How does the fintech name generator work?

This page draws only from the vocabulary of money and reckoning — the bench, the notched stick, the weighed pound, the account book — so nothing here is borrowed from the workshop.
One limit, stated plainly: this tool composes names and their meanings, and it cannot tell you whether a name is already taken, so search a shortlisted name at the USPTO search before you print it on anything. A second plain fact about this sector: in most jurisdictions the words bank and banking are legally restricted to licensed institutions, which is why the generator's stems stop at banca, the bench, and never hand you the modern word itself.
How do fintech names work?
Moneta Vault = moneta (the Roman mint) + vault (the strongroom). Two facts, one name. The first word carries the idea you want attached to the money: trust, credit, weight, reckoning, speed of settlement. The second says what kind of institution it is, and finance has an unusually deep bench of those: a ledger is the book that stays put, a mint strikes coin, an exchequer reckons, a clearing house settles balances between two parties, an assay office tests what metal is really worth.

Where the money words come from
Every stem in the generator is a real word with a documented sense. Ten of them, with the language they come from:

Escrow belongs in the same family and is the plainest of all: Old Frenchescroue was a scrap of parchment, the deed a third party held until both sides performed. The word still describes exactly that.
Fintech names vs general business names
Same two-move grammar, a completely different word bank. A general business name can afford a metaphor; a name that handles other people's money is read for competence first, so the vocabulary skews old, concrete and countable. Names built on the notch
Before ledgers, English public finance ran on sticks. A tally was a rod notched to record a debt, then split lengthwise: the creditor kept one half, the debtor the other, and the two halves only matched each other. Why is a bank called a bank?
Because it was a bench. Banca is the Italian word for the money-changer's bench, the table set up in the market where coin was weighed and swapped, and the institution took its name from the furniture. The same word gives the failure case: banca rotta, the broken bench, is where English gets bankrupt.
